The fixed panel fills the extra width so the door stays a comfortable size, which makes Prima the configuration built for wide openings a single door can't span. The only difference from a pro install: you handle it yourself in 2-4 hours with a helper and skip the install premium. Standard single-door opening (26-30" wide)? Solo may be the simpler fit.

DIY install — what to expect
Most homeowners install the Prima in 2-4 hours with a helper. The hardware is reversible and adjustable, so the glass can be trued after mounting. The kit includes a printed step-by-step guide and a QR-code install video - and free phone/text/video support if anything looks off. Plan for two people: the trickiest step is lifting the glass into place.

Mount the wall channel and hinges
Anchor the U-channel and hinge plates to the studs or substrate using the included template.

Set the fixed panel + support bar
Seat the inline panel and brace it back to the wall with the support bar so the wide glass stays rigid.

Hang and adjust the door
Hang the hinged door, then fine-tune so it sits plumb with an even gap to the panel.
- 4
Seal and cure
Run the seals and bottom sweep, silicone the wall joints, and let it cure 24 hours before the first shower.
