Replacement Glass for Dining Tables, Coffee Tables, Desks & Patios

Tell us what the glass is for. The way it is supported matters as much as its size.

Dining Tables

Replacing the glass top and covering a solid dining table are different jobs. Decide which you need before choosing your dimensions and specifications.

Coffee Tables

Check whether the glass sits inside a frame or rests on top of a base. How it is supported matters when you choose the replacement.

Glass Desk Tops & Covers

A glass desk cover sits on the existing surface; a glass desk top forms the surface itself. Tell us how the glass will be supported if you need help choosing.

For outdoor tables we recommend tempered glass. Center holes from 1″ to 4″ are available for umbrella poles.

Before You Order Your Replacement Glass

Check these measurements and specifications before ordering.
  • Record the shape, dimensions and thickness you need.
    • Rectangle or square: give the length and width separately. Multiplying them gives an area, not the dimensions we cut to.
    • Round: measure the diameter through the center.
    • Thickness: 1/4″ is the usual choice for a cover on a solid table; a top on legs or a frame usually needs 3/8″ or 1/2″ (more in the FAQ).
  • Glass inside a frame:
    • Measure the inside of the opening at several points and use the smallest figure.
    • Then subtract 1/8 inch from each measurement (length and width, or the diameter). Example: a 30″ × 48″ opening → order 29-7/8″ × 47-7/8″.
    • Cut glass can vary by up to 1/8 inch, so for a tight-fitting frame, check the size with our glass team before ordering.
  • Glass cover: measure the surface and decide whether the glass should follow its edges or overhang them.
  • Your options in the customizer (they vary by shape, size and thickness; each customizer shows what's available and the price):
    • Glass: clear, HDglass (our low-iron glass, with less of the green tint), gray, bronze or opaque.
    • Edges: flat polish, pencil polish (a rounded edge), beveled, or seamed (a basic ground edge).
    • Corners, on shapes that have them: eased, square, clipped or rounded, set corner by corner.
    • Holes, such as a center hole for a patio umbrella, are drilled before tempering.
