The Mona DIY kit is the same semi-frameless bypass slider as our installed builds - two sliding panels with minimal aluminum framing and removable side jambs, plus dual towel bars standard. What makes Mona unique is the choice of glass thickness: it is the only bypass slider we stock in both 3/8" and 1/4" tempered glass, so you can match the glass weight to your wall structure and your budget without overspecifying. Same hardware, same optional factory nano-coating - you just handle the install in 2-4 hours with a helper and save the install premium. Want the same bypass layout in framed 1/4" only at a lower price? Vera may be the simpler fit.

DIY install — what to expect
Most homeowners install the Mona in 2-4 hours with a helper. Mona is a semi-frameless bypass with removable aluminum side jambs - the jambs come off to set the panels, then reinstall to true the enclosure, which makes the DIY panel set easier. The kit includes a printed step-by-step guide and a QR-code install video - and free phone/text/video support if anything looks off. Plan for two people: the trickiest step is lifting the glass panels onto the rollers.

Mount the top and bottom rails
Anchor the header track and bottom guide to the walls and curb using the included template, with the removable side jambs set in place.

Hang both bypass panels on the rollers
Lift each sliding panel onto its roller assembly in the header track - the two-person step. Both panels glide past each other on the bypass track.

Adjust the glide and clearance
Fine-tune the rollers so both panels run smoothly with an even gap, then reinstall the side jambs to true the enclosure.

Run the seals, silicone, and cure
Fit the vinyl vertical seals and bottom sweep, silicone the wall and curb joints, and let it cure 24 hours before the first shower.

The 60"×64" Mona kit is sized for openings within typical wall variation. Measure your opening width at three heights (top, middle, bottom) and use the smallest value. A 1/4 inch variation top to bottom is common and the kit's adjustability covers it.
Which finish should I choose?
Chrome is the most universal and pairs with most fixtures. Brushed Nickel hides water spots and pairs with warm-tone bathrooms. Matte Black suits modern/industrial designs.
