Best dollar-per-install on sliding.
Lowest DIY price in our sliding lineup - framed 1/4" construction keeps cost down without dropping safety standards.
DIY Kit Overview
Same fully framed double sliding (bypass) shower door as our installed builds, shipped flat-pack to your door - same glass, same hardware, same 1-year warranty. Free phone, text, and video DIY support included.
The Vera DIY kit is the same value-tier framed bypass slider as our installed builds - two 1/4" tempered glass panels that ride past each other inside a complete aluminum surround (top rail, bottom threshold, and side frames), with dual towel bars standard. It's the budget pick in our sliding lineup: the full frame and threshold make Vera the most forgiving slider on out-of-square or older openings, and the lighter 1/4" glass is easy to lift for a two-person install. Same glass and hardware as the installed version - you just handle the install in 2-4 hours with a helper and save the install premium.
Want less framing or a glass-thickness choice? Mona trades up to semi-frameless and offers both 1/4" and 3/8" glass.

Measuring guide
Vera ships in three stock sizes only - measure your finished opening and pick the size that fits. Tempered glass can't be re-cut, so confirm before you order.
Measure across the top, middle, and bottom. Use the smallest value - a 1/4" variation top to bottom is normal.
From the curb or shower floor up to where the top header track will mount. This sets the panel height.
Hold a level against each side wall. The full frame absorbs minor lean; a severe lean is worth a pro measurement.
If your shower has a curb, it needs to be at least 2-15/16" wide to land the bottom threshold track.
Install Notes
Most homeowners install the Vera in 2-4 hours with a helper. As a fully framed bypass slider, Vera goes up framed-first: you build the aluminum surround, then drop the rollers and glass into the tracks - one of the more forgiving sliders to install because the frame squares the opening for you. The kit includes a printed step-by-step guide and a QR-code install video - and free phone/text/video support if anything looks off. Plan for two people: the trickiest step is lifting the panels onto the rollers.
Set the bottom threshold track level on the curb, then mount the top header rail plumb above it using the included template.
Anchor the side frames into the walls so the full aluminum surround is square and tight to the opening.
Lift each sliding panel onto its rollers in the top track and seat it into the bottom guide - this is the two-person step.
Fine-tune the rollers so both panels slide smoothly and the edges line up evenly with the frame.
Run the vinyl edge seals and bottom sweep, silicone the frame-to-wall joints, and let it cure 24 hours before the first shower.

1-Year Warranty

Q&A
Most homeowners with basic DIY skills install the Vera in 2-4 hours with a helper. The kit includes a printed step-by-step guide, a 12-minute install video (QR code in the box), and free phone, text, and video support 8am-5pm ET, 7 days. The trickiest single step is lifting the glass panel into place - plan for two people.
Drill (with carbide masonry bit for tile), 4-foot level, tape measure, silicone caulk gun, painter's tape, Phillips and flathead screwdrivers, rubber mallet, and a helper. The kit includes all anchors, screws, seals, and the install template. No specialty tools required.
First-time installers average 2 to 4 hours from unboxing to first water test, including silicone application. Add 30 to 60 minutes if you're drilling through tile or replacing previous hardware. Plan 24 hours of silicone cure time before the first shower.
Yes - tile is the most common install scenario. Anchor through tile into wall studs or solid blocking using carbide-tipped drill bits on low speed. Confirm there's stud or blocking at the mounting points before drilling. Wavy tile or out-of-plumb walls add 30 to 60 minutes but require no tile work on your end.
Tempered glass cannot be recut, so we don't accept returns on cut-to-size kits - but we'll work with you. Call our DIY line use the size dropdown to switch to an in-stock size that fits.
A helper is strongly recommended for the Vera install - specifically for the glass-setting step (lifting and aligning panels into the hinges or track). Everything else (measuring, drilling, anchoring, sealing) is solo-friendly. Total time with a helper: 2 to 4 hours. Solo with workarounds: 4 to 6 hours.
Ships in 2 business days from our U.S. warehouses. Free pickup at either location. Local delivery within 30 miles is $95. Nationwide shipping is $300 flat per enclosure, anywhere in the lower 48. Standard ground freight runs 3 to 5 business days. Door-to-door is typically 1 to 2 weeks.
Yes - standard ground shipping to all 48 contiguous states. Alaska and Hawaii are available with a freight surcharge; contact us for a quote.
Inspect at delivery. If you see crushed corners or visible damage, photograph and refuse the delivery - we replace the kit at no charge. If you discover damage after opening, contact us within 48 hours and we ship replacements in 2 business days.
DIY Vera runs $460-$500; professionally installed runs $1,299-$1,699. The install premium covers laser measurement, fabrication-to-fit, in-home installation, old-door removal, and the upgraded 3-year parts+labor warranty (vs 1-year DIY hardware-only).
Yes - for orders of 5+ kits, contact us for trade pricing. We also offer Dulles Glass PRO accounts for contractors, designers, and bulk-purchase customers with consistent volume.
1-year warranty on glass, hardware, seals, and finish under normal use. Manufacturing defects are covered. Damage from improper install (over-torqued hardware, wrong anchor for substrate) is not - call our DIY line first if you're not sure.
Yes - if you're in our install service area and the kit is unopened, we'll credit the DIY purchase against an installed quote. Enter your ZIP on the install hub to check coverage, or call (866) 452-7707. Out-of-area orders stay DIY (we don't sub-contract installs nationally).
A step-by-step install video is referenced on the printed instructions (QR code) and on our YouTube channel. The Vera walkthrough runs about 15 to 20 minutes for the full install.
Yes - live phone, text, and video support 8am-5pm ET, 7 days a week. Best to call before drilling permanent holes if anything is unclear.
